Pick-your-own Garden of Geesje - Oudkarspel

Forget the supermarket and put on your boots: at the Pick-your-own Garden of Geesje you get to pick the stars of the field yourself! Geesje is like a green playground for grown-ups, but there's plenty for the youngest cyclists among us to enjoy too.

You’re free to pick the tastiest vegetables, fruits and flowers while you stroll through the bushes, trees and flowerbeds. That is, if you’re there in the right season of course. During summer months, you can visit several times a week. Outside of summer, you can buy organic pork at the farm shop every Saturday morning between 11:00 and 12:00.

On the farmyard, a bunch of cheeky pigs are rooting around. Together with sheep and chickens, they make the place lively and sustainable. The animals help keep the soil healthy, support short supply chains, and – if they're in the mood – you can even cuddle them.

There are also fun activities on a regular basis. Every second Sunday of the month is 'Cake Day', when you can taste delicious homemade cakes with fruit from the garden. Or check the agenda for a yoga & pilates class, a garden lunch or dinner, or a fancy fair.
