The Outdoor Centre is a perfect start to your introduction to Drents-Friese Wold. Inside, you can already get to know nature by following a tree straight through the building, giving you a better understanding of trees. But you can also take a look in the forester's study and see interesting finds. Bones, skulls, antlers and feathers from the National Park. You can also check out the forester's books and tools here.

Of course you don't want to stay inside: walk the 2 kilometres long barefoot path and feel nature under your feet or discover the play forest, gnomes' path or animal friends' path with children. There is a family trail of over two kilometres that is also suitable for walkers and mobility scooters.

You can also book an excursion at the outdoor centre and, for example, go out with the forest ranger. In search of game, insects or deer, there is a suitable excursion for everyone.
