Old St. Nicholas Church - Helvoirt
The Protestant church in Helvoirt is a Gothic cruciform church. In the summer of 1874 Vincent van Gogh made several sketches of the Protestant church. His father had been pastor here since February 1871. This is a chalk drawing of 21x31 cm of the reformed church of Helvoirt and a smaller pencil drawing of 11x19 cm with a more panoramic view of Helvoirt, in which the tower of the reformed church is a defining element. In the church there is also a States Bible which Vincent's father used.
