Observatory Hellendoorn - Nijverdal
The Outdoor Centre Sallandse Heuvelrug houses the Public Observatory Hellendoorn. All kinds of activities are held in the observatory, from public evenings to star lectures. There is an enormous dome in which the telescopes are set up. As a visitor, you can use these telescopes too!
There is also a solar observatory, planetarium, radio telescope and a weather station. The Sky-Walk is the characteristic platform at a height of eight metres, from where you have an open view of the starry sky.

On Thursday afternoons during the school holidays of the North region, a film is shown in the Planetarium from 14:00.
