Scheelhoek, a former sandbar, is now an oasis for birds thanks to its grasslands, reed marsh and creeks. But also vulnerable, so to see bearded reed warblers, terns, avocets and reed warblers you have to go to the adjacent Scheelhoek forest. Or visit the architectural bird observatory 'Tij'. From the vantage point you can admire these -and other!- birds.
