Nature Area De Vilt is a remarkable natural area in the eastern part of the province of North Brabant. The area covers approximately 140 hectares and consists of woodland, heathland, streams, fens and grasslands.
It is a true natural gem. The grasslands are rich in flowers, and you will also find marshy areas, hedgerows and forests throughout the landscape.
De Vilt has been designated by the province as one of the locations that tells the story of the formation of North Brabant. This is because the area lies in a former bend of the River Meuse. Over time, this bend silted up, giving rise to the nature area some fifteen thousand years ago.
