National Park De Meinweg - Herkenbosch
National Park De Meinweg has a unique terraced landscape, created by erosion and shifts in the earth's crust. The terraces are separated by steep transitions, so that the total difference in height is no less than 50 metres. Nevertheless, the park is easily accessible. The park is intersected by the valley of the Boschbeek and the Roode Beek. In between there are fens, heathland and forests. In the heathlands you may encounter the rare viper.
