Overasselt's original standerd mill, originally built in 1736 in Geertruidenberg and later moved to Raamsdonkveer and finally to Overasselt in 1890, fell victim to a heavy storm on 13 November 1972. Following this destruction, the current mill was built at its current location in 1982.

Although largely a new construction, attention has been paid to preserving its historical essence. The miller grinds grain for various bakers and also offers fascinating tours, where visitors can discover the rich history of the mill.
