The Mill of Retranchement, also known as the Retranchement Mill, is a beautiful corn mill located in the picturesque village of Retranchement in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The open standerd mill possibly dates back to 1643. Originally, the mill served as a corn mill, grinding grain into flour for local bakeries and farmers.
The mill has had several owners over the years and has been restored several times. In 2000, a wooden reinforcement under the shaky mill casing was needed in anticipation of a thorough restoration that took place in 2002.
