Mill de Hoop Garderen - Garderen
As a characteristic landmark, corn mill De Hoop is the face of Garderen. Unmistakably present in the skyline; and it has been for centuries! When the IJsselmeer was not yet dammed up and drained and was known as the wild Zuiderzee, the mill was already a landmark. It was a beacon on the equally rugged sandy soil of the Veluwe.
Now that desolation has subsided but for those who cannot find their way around, windmill De Hoop is still a beacon. For years, it has been home to a VVV agency. At this information point, you can get good tips, beautiful books about the Veluwe and nice souvenirs. You will also find home-made products, such as pancake flour.

Opening times are from April to October. In the months of July and August, they are open until 3 pm.
