Mill de Hoop Abbenbroek - Abbenbroek
The mill is remarkably wide at the bottom of the hull. The mill used wind power to grind grain until 1947, after which only an electric hammer mill was used. In 1974 the dilapidated mill was purchased by the then municipality of Abbenbroek from the Zandijk family. Around 1979 the mill was restored in grinding condition. Of the original 3 pairs of grinding stones, 1 pair remained. Since then, the mill has been grinding fodder on a voluntary basis. The hammer mill is still present in the mill, including silo and cyclone.
Also open when the mill is running and by appointment.
