The watchtower is built in a castle theme and looks like a watchtower with battlements. This is not without reason, because Baarlo is also known as the Castle Village with the many castles in and around the village. From the watchtower you have a beautiful view of the Meuse valley, Baarlo and Steyl; the village across the river, also called the Monastery Village.
