On Brabantweg in Gennep stands the impressive locomotive 094. This locomotive from 1921, named “Blauwe Brabander”, was one of the high-speed trains on the Duits Lijntje.

The black locomotive is located on the former railway yard of the important border station Gennep. This was also the site of the headquarters and repair workshop of the Noord-Brabantsch-Duitsche Spoorwegmaatschappij (NBDS).

The Gennep station was damaged during the Second World War and was demolished in 1948.
