At the edge of the Zuiderpark in Den Bosch stands the India Monument. It is a memorial to the 35 soldiers from Den Bosch who died in the former Dutch East Indies between 1941 and 1962. In addition, the memorial also serves as an expression of respect for all the victims who lost their lives in this war, both on the Indonesian and the Dutch side.

The monument was designed by Saskia Vermeesch on the initiative of the Stichting Gedenkteken Indiëgangers 's Hertogenbosch. The unveiling was in 2004.
