Between the historic Zuiderzee towns of Hoorn and Medemblik, steam trams travel from village to village across the countryside. The Museum Steam Tram Hoorn–Medemblik tells the story of steam tram transport in the Netherlands. Its collection of steam tram locomotives, carriages and wagons is brought to life on the 20-kilometre rural railway from 1887 – still complete with its original stations.
