Het Paddenstoelenhuis (The Mushroom House) - Berghem
Berghem in Brabant has been home to the mushroom farm of René van de Vorle and his wife Marja since 1995. For years, white mushrooms were their speciality, but in 2005 they changed tack and specialised in chestnut mushrooms and portobello mushrooms.
The Mushroom House is a special reception area at the nursery, where visitors get a behind-the-scenes look. It is the company's living room. René and Marja will tell you passionately about mushrooms and how interesting they really are. Of course, you can also taste some.
