Green Heart food forest - Hazerswoude-Dorp
This food forest, currently under construction, should become a nice place for people, plants and animals. The idealistic initiators started this project and envision a food forest with an infinite variety of trees, plants and shrubs, not always edible for people but always good for something or someone.
There is a labyrinth of lavender, symbolising taking a journey inwards. There is a willow temple to retreat to for a moment and a group of Indian moose roam around quacking loudly. The latter's waddling friends eat snails which thus have no chance of eating the garden bare.
On Friday afternoon, there is always someone present who can tell you more about the construction of the food forest. If necessary, you can also do some work there. If you want to visit the food forest at another time, you can always make an appointment.
