Just across the border near Goch lies the enchanting Graefenthal Monastery. Surrounded by a moat and centuries-old walls, this former Cistercian monastery reflects the tranquillity of the Niers Valley. This impressive monastery complex along the banks of the Niers was founded in the 13th century by the Counts of Guelders.
You are free to walk around the monastery grounds and enjoy a drink on the terrace in the inner courtyard.
