Veerhuys Tante Jet (Aunt Jet) is named after a 16-year-old girl. At a young age Jet was given responsibility for the living room cafe, located near the ferry house on the Maas. Even when she turned 80 she was still working here! Not surprising that her name was and still is a household name in the faraway surroundings.
