Fruit company Horstink - Rha

North of Doesburg, near the river IJssel, lies the Horstink family's fruit farm. The orchards are full of apple, pear and plum trees. Hidden among these trees are also seven long rows of cherry trees, with a different type of cherry in each row. Each variety is ripe at a different time and has its own unique flavour.

Strawberries are also among the other fruit trees. These are grown on racks. This is handy, because you can pick standing up and they stay sand- and mould-free thanks to the wind that blows nicely through the strawberries!

In the atmospheric farm shop, apples and pears are offered from our own cultivation. Depending on the season, you will find more fruit and vegetables, such as strawberries and cherries, of course, but also oranges, asparagus and sauerkraut. Fresh dairy products, farmhouse cheese, nuts, regional beers and Achterhoek wines from local colleagues are also on the shelves. A lovely little shop where you can browse and taste the delicacies from the Achterhoek.
