Can you imagine that in this remote spot stood a hideaway church? Now, in the middle of the heath and between some fens, you can only see the remnant, consisting of the foundation of the border chapel.

Catholics from the southern Netherlands, but mainly from Valkenswaard, Borkel en Schaft and Gastel, went to church here. After all, they were not allowed to profess their faith in public.
