Tucked away in the heart of the Schoorlse Duinen and only accessible by bike or on foot. And that's exactly the intention, because once you arrive here, you'll experience an atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else.

What started as a kiosk selling coffee and ice cream in 1947 grew into a characteristic forest pavilion. The name? It came about spontaneously when a curious guest asked on the opening day: ‘This is the Berenkuil, isn't it?’ The name has stuck ever since.

Sit on the sunny terrace or in the shade and enjoy a good cup of coffee with delicious pastries, a freshly prepared lunch or a drink with the house-brewed beer. It is also a wonderful place to relax in winter.

There is plenty of space to park your bike safely. There is also a charging point for e-bikes.

In short, come and relax in this quirky forest pavilion. A stopover that requires nothing, except perhaps to stay a little longer and enjoy...
