Hidden in the green heart of Nijmegen lies Farm 't Brakkensteinhofje, a small-scale city farm with a big heart for people, animals and nature. This farm forms the beating heart of Foundation Mijn Brakkenstein and is focused on social connection, education and sustainability.
You can enjoy fresh biological vegetables, herbs and eggs here that are grown with love and care. Everything comes straight from the vegetable garden and the chickens of the farm. You get authentic, unsprayed seasonal vegetables and you have the opportunity to see for yourself where your food comes from.
Nature conservation and biological farming are interwoven in everything they do. The farm is committed to biodiversity, circular working and offers space to volunteers and people with distance to the labour market. The proceeds from the little shop go to the children's home in Sumbawanga, West-Tanzania.
