In the middle of a unique high-stemmed cherry orchard near Houten, on the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal on the Eiland van Schalkwijk, lies Eatery Ster in de Kersentuin. A wonderful location to catch your breath or refuel, together or with the whole family. Take a seat outside in the orchard, part of the agricultural heritage, consisting of high-stemmed trees with 12 varieties of cherries used mainly in jams. If it's cold, they also have cozy spots inside. Here you can enjoy homemade pastries and country lunches.
Cyclists are more than welcome! Coming with more than one person? Just let them know and they will keep a (large) table free for you!
