De Wilpermolen - Posterenk

N 52.21321 / E 6.117856

The Wilpermolen in the hamlet of Posterenk was built in 1736 on a piece of land owned by Willem Harmen van Broekhuysen, official son of Voorst, who was married to Mechteld Jacomina van Lynden. Above the scaffolding, the hull of the mill features the alliance coat of arms of both spouses. The current mill was built after the standerd mill De Ploigh, which stood a kilometre east of the current mill, burned down. The 1766 deed of sale shows that the mill had fire damage on the date of transport. The new owner had the mill repaired. In 1975, the mill underwent restoration and was converted into a corn mill. In 1991, the mill underwent another extensive restoration.
