De Traay bee-keeping - Lelystad
For more than 30 years, De Traay has been harvesting honey organically. Founder Wouter Vuyk, himself also active as a beekeeper for more than 30 years, contributed to the development of the guidelines for the EKO quality mark for honey.
No antibiotics or (chemical) agents are used in the harvesting of the honey. In this way, De Traay wants to produce a healthy and sustainable end product that takes account of the living environment of people, bees and plants. The bees and the honey are the passion of the beekeepers of De Traay, and you can taste that!
In their shop, you can see the wide range of honeys, syrups and even herbal honey wines! The beekeepers are happy to tell you all about keeping bees and the honey while you enjoy a cup of coffee.
