In the cemetery behind the church in De Lutte, Pa Wildspieker is buried at the beginning of the television series ‘Van Jonge Leu en Oale Groond’.
On the square in front of the Roman Catholic church is the statue of the Hellhound. Traditionally, stories circulated in De Lutte about a mysterious, dog-like apparition. This terrifying dog was pitch black, had large pointed ears and sometimes showed itself in the Lutters cemetery. This often turned out to be an omen of an impending death. The dog was a symbol of doom.
