City Museum Bergh - 's-Heerenberg

N 51.874883041305 / E 6.243349768

The Joannes van Esserenhuis, named after the venerable pastor of 's-Heerenberg who died a martyr's death in 1570, today houses the Stadsmuseum Bergh.

Bergh's rich history comes to life here in an original way. Light images, numerous films and, last but not least, the beautiful interactive model make old times come alive. Seen from the point of view of five women, you get a surprising glimpse of history. These women, from serfs or alleged witches to countesses, lived in 's-Heerenberg between 900 and 1600.  Using the latest techniques, they immerse visitors in their lives and times.
