City Museum - Almelo
The Stadsmuseum Almelo offers a fascinating insight into the history and development of Almelo. In various themed rooms, you will discover the city's industrial past, with a special focus on the textile industry, which gave Almelo a central role in the region. Through historical objects, clothing, paintings and old photos, the museum shows what life in Almelo used to be like.
Besides the permanent collection, the museum organises regularly changing exhibitions and has an extensive photo archive of postcards. Through this combination of permanent and temporary exhibitions, visitors can constantly explore new aspects of Almelo's history in a contemporary and accessible environment.
