Cantonspark in Baarn is a 3.5-hectare botanical park and national monument. It was established between 1905 and 1915 by August Janssen as a garden for his villa Canton. In 1918, the park was transferred to Utrecht University, which used it as a botanical garden. Since 1987, it has been owned by the municipality of Baarn and is open to the public.
The park features various cultural and historical elements, such as the Colonnade, the Tennis Pavilion, and an old wall with a gate surrounding the Rose Garden. The highlight is the Winter Garden, a large greenhouse from 1915, which has been closed to the public since July 10, 2023.
Cantonspark is open daily from 08:00 to 21:00. Dogs and (moped) bicycles are not allowed. From April through October, guided tours are organized; dates and times can be found on the website.
