Buds Tolhuis No. 11 - Nieuw Milligen
Let's go back in time for a moment. In order to reach Palace 't Loo better, Napoleon had the road between Amersfoort and Apeldoorn constructed. A number of tollhouses were built on this road. That is how this tollhouse came into being! Many carriages with horses have passed Buds Tolhuis No. 11. However, in 1917, the building burned to the ground. It was no longer possible to save the building, so it had to be rebuilt. As there was practically no new timber for sale in those days, a villa in Delft that had been declared uninhabitable was bought. The materials of this villa were taken to Nieuw-Milligen by horse and cart and rebuilt into what it is today: Buds Tolhuis.
