Bonkmill - Lexmond

N 51.9217624 / E 5.0058334

Around 1852, the Bonkmolen was built on the Kleine Kanaaldijk in Lexmond. Together with the Vlietmolen and the Lekkersche Mill, it served to drain the huge Lakerveld polder. The Bonkmill was able to do its work until 1945. The scoop wheel of this tilting mill has a diameter of 5.90 metres, which enables it to 'whip' a lot of water out of the polder.
