Bird-watching hut inlet Keihoogte - Wissenkerke
Because dike reinforcement was done in 1980, a new inlet also had to be created. This created an area outside the dikes with young dunes, beach and open water. This created the ideal nesting area for the grebe, tufted duck and moorhen, and in the low-lying parts for meadow birds such as the bar-tailed godwit and the dunlin.
Along the north coast of Noord-Beveland, you will therefore find a good number of bird-watching huts, including this one in Wissenkerke.
