Bicycle and foot ferry Arkel-Spijk - Arkel
To get from node 38 in Spijk to node 37 in Arkel, or vice versa, you need to cross the Linge. This can be done using the bicycle and foot ferry that has been operated by the Westerbeek family for three generations. The little ferry has had ferry rights and a great history for centuries.
The ferry sails annually from 1 April to 1 October. Outside this season, you have to cycle an alternative route. From node 38 you follow nodes 26, 39 and 54, before rejoining node 37. Or of course the other way round if you cycle the route the other way round.
