Bastion - 's-Hertogenbosch
Bastion Oranje is located close to the centre of 's-Hertogenbosch. This is the last bastion that was added to the fortress. Now history is coming back to life here.
In the Bastionder, you get a guided tour with explanations about the history of war and about the fortifications of the city. There is a video presentation about the siege of 's-Hertogenbosch in 1629 by Frederik Hendrik and you can admire the impressive cannon 'De Boze Griet'. A special place for young and old.
From the structure, you have a view of the beautiful Bossche Broek nature reserve. In the spring, the thousands of crocuses can be enjoyed here and in the summer, you can enjoy a picnic under the monumental trees.
