Alphens Beer house - Alphen aan den Rijn
The Alphens Bierhuis, founded by Jan Boerefijn, is a tribute to the rich tradition of specialty beer. Jan began his adventure in 1987 with his first café in Alphen aan den Rijn, where he was one of the first to introduce Belgian specialty beers. His second establishment, Café de Natte, opened in 1993 and grew into a true beer paradise with no fewer than 150 different beers.
After a successful period in the hospitality industry, Jan opened the Alphens Bierhuis in 2022: a speciality beer shop with an impressive range of more than 950 beers. Of these, 325 are Belgian-made and 125 come from local and small-scale breweries. With this shop, Jan continues to surprise and delight beer lovers.
