Aeolus Mill Dreischor - Dreischor

N 51.687606 / E 3.987301

The mill is named after Aeolus, the god of the wind. However, that was not always the case, because for a long time the mill had the name De Koekoek. In 1962 the mill was sold to a Hungarian couple and it was largely demolished internally and made suitable for habitation. As a result, the mill never turned again and continued to fester for years. Purchase by the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland in 2000 eventually brought results to the preservation of this mill. Restoration work started immediately in that year. The mill was able to run again in the autumn of 2001 and is again equipped with a grinder.
