23. Singelpark - Leiden
The Singelpark is a 6.5 kilometre long city park, created from an initiative by the residents of Leiden. A park in the shape of a loop, with no beginning or end. Since 2021 you can take a walk along the canals of Leiden.
Greenery in the city is pleasant for residents and visitors, but also very important in making a city climate resilient. More greenery means less paving, and therefore better drainage of rainwater. More greenery also means more space for plants and animals.
