Windmill Sint Jan - Veldhoven / Oerle

N 51.426508 / E 5.358141

The mill was built completely new between 1985 and 1991, with a few parts from other mills. The octagon comes from the German tower of Leezen (near Hamburg). A toothed wreath remains from the former compass rose. The substructure is made of yellow ice stones from the demolished mill hull from Vught. Milling is done on the mill for human consumption. Next to the mill is the workshop of John de Jong’s mill maker’s company. Since 2012, a bakery and restaurant with terrace have been established between the mill and the workshop. Flour from the mill is processed in this bakery.
