Toon Kortoomspark - Deurne
The Toon Kortoomspark is located on the spot where the famous novelist Toon Kortooms grew up. The park is about three hectares in size and is located in the middle of the De Peel nature reserve, about which Toon wrote in his books 'Beekman en Beekman' and 'Help the doctor drowns'. The park consists of:
Museum: about the writer Toon Kortooms, where all his books and many special memories can be seen.
Peat farm: chef Davy exploits this location where it comes down to food. There is room for more than sixty visitors. The terrace can accommodate at least as many people! From the Veenderij and from the terrace the visitors have a wide view over the vast Peel. Two walls are largely made of glass and the corner that is formed with it can also be opened completely. So you're in the Peel as it were!
Barefoot path: discover the Peel on your bare feet in this walking area with all kinds of different surfaces.
