You are looking at the ILSY park here. The station building was designed in 1936 by architects Brinkman and Van der Vlught. Today, the building has been completely restored and has been designated a national monument. The environment breathes history. The memorial you see here is dedicated to the victims of the Battle of Ypenburg. Every year these victims are commemorated on May 10 at this monument.
