Farm Smedekinck was first mentioned in 1341. The beautifully restored farmhouse and its barns accommodate the permanent collection, constantly changing exhibitions and theme days. Experience the history and way of life of the Zelhemmers throughout the centuries. The collection includes the Municipal Room containing goods from the former Zelhem town hall. De Stijlkamer, furnished as a farmer's kitchen with bedstead and cherry wood cabinet with linen set. The Linen room with its costumes; admire the cutting hats, lace bobbins and clothes of yesteryear and the Kitchen with old stove, pump and oven. In the Stable you could visit an exhibition about the life and works of Ludger, who brought his religion in Zelhem in 801.
