Jongkind Monument - Dinkelland

Artist Johan Barthold Jongkind was born in the small village of Lattrop. Although this painter left for France at an early age in 1845, he spent much of his youth growing up in the village. In memory of his works of art, a monumental building was erected in 2015. The monument can be admired on the spot where Jongkind's old birthplace stood.

Fun fact: many French people were present at the unveiling. The painter is still very well known there.
