Throughout the year you will find on this island the Gray Goose and the Canadian Goose. But also birds such as the avocet, redshank, shelduck and the green-legged rider come to the nutrient-rich mudflats. Look in the creeks for spoonbills that, while zigzagging, try to get food out of the water. In the birdwatching hut on the Sophia Polder you'll have a good view of the entire island. There is a good chance that you will see different species of these beautiful birds!
