Cheerful cycle route Fun & Adventures in Brabant
Veldhoven, Waalre, Valkenswaard
Starting from the holiday park in Veldhoven, this route takes you on a family day out. Over approximately 19 km, you cycle via Waalre to Valkenswaard. Along the way, you pass the beautiful river Dommel as you head towards plenty of fun activities. In Waalre you can stop at Playground De Klimbim, a true play paradise in the middle of the forest with an area of 6,000 m² and around 50 play structures. You certainly won’t run out of things to do here. But there is much more to experience along this route. Close to the playground, you will find a real butterfly garden. Among the colourful flowers, you can spot fluttering butterflies and buzzing dragonflies. It is a wonderful place to learn more about nature, with fun discovery spots throughout the garden. In Valkenswaard, Experience Park De Kleine Meer is an absolute highlight. Here you will find a petting zoo, playground and gnome trail all in one place. You will meet a wide variety of farm animals, from pigs, goats and sheep to deer, guinea pigs and turkeys. The guinea pigs can always be petted, and if an animal is placed on the “petting table”, you are allowed to stroke it too. Looking for even more adventure? Then follow the gnome trail through the forest, highly recommended for the youngest cyclists. And of course, there is also plenty of opportunity to play in the playground. What a perfect family day out. Once you return, you will look back together, tired but happy, on a day full of fun, discovery and new encounters.
