Veghel, Sint Oedenrode, Schijndel
Hop on your bike and discover the rich beer history of Meierijstad. A route of aroma, flavour and tradition. From the centre of Veghel you cycle towards hop field Schaapskooi. Here the hop plants grow metres high along thin wires and in September the air is filled with the bitter floral smell of hop the ingredient that gives craft beer its character. You continue the route to Brewery Sint Servattumus in Schijndel where you can taste local beers and then to De Rooise Brouwers for a look at the brewing process. Along the way you pass the hop fields of MeierijHop in Sint Oedenrode and enjoy the Brabant landscape that was once full of hop vines. Back in Veghel you end the tour at Stadsbrouwerij De Vleeghel or with a craft beer from Hellobier at the Noordkade. A tasteful route for anyone who wants to combine a love of beer and nature.
