Just past the Belgian border, it starts to creak. Is it in the bike? No, the sound seems to come from Belgium. Just over the border is the monastery De Achelse Kluis. To crack the safe you first have to cycle through the nature gate of De Achelse Kluis. The surroundings alone are a beautiful natural experience. When you arrive at the monastery, you have the idea that you have taken a step back in time. The historical monastery was built in 1846 in the time of the French Revolution. To find out all about the history, you can sign up for activities and guided tours. And now we are in the historical spheres, Castle Heeze! The originally two castles can be visited in good condition. The ideal location to start and end your cycle route is at the ZuiderpoortCafé near junction 80 in Budel. Here you can easily park your car and relax on the terrace, volleyball court or with a refreshing dive in the swimming pool after completing your cycle route.
