Cycle route Can't see the forest for its trees
Baarn, Hilversum, Blaricum
The Gooi region has a surprising number of large wooded areas which are great for cycling through. Besides all the beautiful forests, in Baarn you also have the tree centre. More than 100,000 trees of more than 750 different species are grown here! The Green Pavilion, which is in the middle of the tree centre, is worth a walk. There is even more green in Baarn: the Pekingtuin and the Cantonspark are two green oases in the village centre. You'll pass them on this cycle route. In Hilversum, on the edge of the Mediapark, you can take a look at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. Dive into the archives of old and special television fragments or become a presenter yourself! But before you get there, you first have to cycle a beautiful stretch along the Ankeveense and Kortenhoefse Plassen. When the sun sets and the orange colours reflect on the water, you feel like a different person.
