Cycle route through the Heart of the Netherlands

Whether Lunteren is really the geographical centre of the Netherlands remains a topic of debate. For decades, people have been discussing the exact location. Still, there are several clues suggesting that Lunteren could indeed be this centre. In the Luntersche Buurtbosch, on the Lindeboomseberg, lies a boulder with the inscription 'Middelpunt van Nederland' since 1956. Here, you can not only take a photo with this historical stone, but also enjoy the stunning view over Barneveld and the vast Gelderse Vallei. This cycle route leads you not only through Lunteren, but also through beautiful Renswoude. Here, you can admire the estates around Castle Renswoude. For a history lesson about the area, visit the Oudheidkamer in the village. Fort Daatselaar also tells you about the rich past of this region.
