This cycle route introduces you to the green lung of Arnhem. You will discover that Arnhem is not only green because the Veluwe lies in its backyard, but also that beautiful parks enrich the Gelderland capital. The parks Sonsbeek, Zypendaal and Gulden Bodem cover a large part of Arnhem’s territory. These three are therefore not skipped during this cycling route, but there are many other parks to admire. Take Angerenstein and Presikhaaf for example. You discover them along your route through this busy city. The lovely parks alternate with the lively city of Arnhem. What about beautiful buildings such as the Sabelspoort, the Maarten van Rossumhuis or the modern station? The Netherlands Open Air Museum is also recommended to discover the history of the Netherlands. On the edge of Park Sonsbeek lies Natuurcentrum Arnhem (between junction 69 and 42): the ideal starting point for your cycling route.
